Neem Karoli Baba Ashram Kainchi Dham Hanuman Temple in Uttarakhand

Shree Kainchi Hanuman Mandir, popularly known as Kainchi Dham, is one of the most revered spiritual destinations in Uttarakhand. The foundation of this sacred place is deeply connected with the divine presence of Neem Karoli Baba, lovingly known as Maharaj Ji.

During Maharaj Ji’s visit to Kainchi in 1962, he crossed the river Kshipra and meditated at a forested area where great saints like Somvari Baba and Premi Baba had earlier performed spiritual practices. Maharaj Ji sanctified the land by sitting on a sacred rock and instructed that the area be cleared and prepared for spiritual use. This holy site later became the foundation of Kainchi Dham.

Neem Karoli Baba Ashram, popularly known as Kainchi Dham, is a sacred spiritual destination nestled in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. Closely associated with the revered saint Neem Karoli Baba, the ashram is widely known for its peaceful atmosphere, spiritual vibrations, and deep-rooted significance in Hindu spirituality.

Over time, temples dedicated to Lord Hanuman, Shri Lakshmi Narayan, Lord Shiva, Maa Parvati, Shri Ganesh, Kartikeya, and Vaishnavi Devi were established within the ashram premises. The Hanuman temple became the central spiritual focus, drawing devotees from across India and beyond. On June 15, 1973, Maharaj Ji also consecrated the shrine of Shri Vindhyavasini Devi, marking June 15 as an especially sacred day in the history of Kainchi Dham.
